I am completing a residency. Are there specific rules for my situation?
Yes. Residents must not only pay their initiation fee, but also an equivalent amount as their annual membership fee. This privilege is granted when you submit confirmation from the university where you are enrolled full time in a dental residency program. You may obtain this status for any full year in which you take part in a residency or the year in which you finish it. Furthermore, you will still be subject to the Rand formula if you provide dental care during your residency or after it ends and, where applicable, the Association will keep the deductions made by the RAMQ until it has received the annual membership fee for an active member. You enjoy all the benefits. You may participate in the bodies of the Association, which entitles you to vote, attend general meetings and submit your candidacy for an elected office. You receive all services that the ACDQ offers.
