The Oncology Dentistry Service, in the Department of Dentistry of the CHU of Québec - Université Laval, is looking for a dentist interested in a career in oncology to complete its team of three (3) dentists. One position is available at 4 days per week.
The candidate will participate in the usual activities in his or her field of expertise and will contribute to the teaching of dental residents and students as a clinical instructor (CEC) at Laval University. Active participation in the activities of the CHU de Québec-Université Laval and Université Laval is also expected.
More specifically, the candidate will be responsible for evaluating and following up on head and neck radiation therapy patients, hematology-oncology and bone marrow transplant clients, as well as performing post-surgery ENT oncology rehabilitation.
The candidate will benefit from a mentoring period with colleagues.
Doctorate in dentistry;
Dental license issued by the Ordre des dentistes du Québec (ODQ) (acquired or in the process of acquiring);
Additional training in multidisciplinary dentistry (completed or in progress), an asset;
Commitment to a minimum of three (3) months of training in oncology.
Professionalism, leadership and commitment;
Interest in medically compromised clients, oral medicine, fixed and removable prosthodontics applied to oncology and surgery;
Interest in dental and medical innovation, an asset;
Experience in clinical research, an asset;
Teaching skills for dental residents and students, an asset;
Interest in developing or collaborating on clinical research projects with existing teams;
Mastery of written and spoken French;
Functional written and spoken English.
