Semer des sourires (Sowing smiles)

The ACDQ takes part, together with Dentists Without Borders and the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), in an international development project in Guatemala. Its goal is to:

• In the countryside of Tecpán in the Chimaltenango region, experiment and perfect an effective public-private oral health treatment approach with a satisfactory cost-results ratio;
• Foster awareness among the rural native peoples of Tecpán of the importance of oral health and encourage local management of this aspect of their health;
• Increase the dental care offered to the most disadvantaged and treat the most current problems in the Tecpán region among school children, mothers and other villagers.
