In 1978, the Fédération des médecins spécialistes du Québec created a group retirement savings plan. The ACDQ joined with the medical specialists in 1981. Restructured in 1997 to offer private personalized management services, the Professionals’ Financial passed the billion mark for assets under its management in 2002. It provides mutual fund services, private wealth management, retirement planning and financial planning to six associations, trade federations and professional orders, with more than 8,500 participants, including Quebec dentists, their families and their employees. Its investment solutions are focused on long-term returns and capital protection, while its management and other fees are some of the lowest in Canada.
