The Dentaide system is a unique direct payment system that guarantees dentists payment of the insured portion of dental services provided to insured persons.
Why is it advantageous to belong to the Dentaide system?
When patients show their insured card to participating dentists, the dentists will check the validity of the card with Centre Dentaide. Centre Dentaide confirms that the care given is insured and calculates the insured portion of these fees by taking into account the deductible and percentage to be reimbursed, where applicable. In this way, patients only pay for the uninsured portion of the care. They have no claim form to fill out or submit. All they have to do is to sign the claim form completed by the dentist. Every fifteen days, dentists receive a consolidated payment for the care they give to cardholders.
Centre Dentaide offers a telephone and telecommunications service to dentists, 5 days a week.
Who can get an insured card?
People who have dental insurance plans through insurers, associations or employers can get an insured card. Dentaide acts as a third party in the administration of claims by guaranteeing payment of the insured portion of the dental care.
All dentists in Quebec are eligible.
To become a participating dentist, you must sign the Service contract and pay a single lifetime membership fee.
Dentaide offers you the opportunity to pay your entry fee by successive deductions, each equivalent to 3% of the fees paid to you by Dentaide, up to $800 if you are a new graduate or up to $1,000 if you don't become a participating dentist the year of your graduation.
The fee for electronic claims is 0.6% and for telephone claims, 1.95%.
